week of 11-30-09

A huge “Thank you!” to all for bringing in stuffing for our Thanksgiving feast. It was nice to see the whole class eat a Thanksgiving meal together.

HOLIDAY PROGRAM:
· Wednesday, December 9th at 9 a.m.
· Our class will need to wear red collared uniform shirts, khaki pants, and tennis shoes.


IMPORTANT DATES:
· Wednesday, December 9th at 9:00 – Holiday Program
· Wednesday, December 16th is our last day of school before Holiday Break. Report cards will go home. All students need to be picked up at 11:30. There will be NO AFTERSCHOOL or LUNCH.

· Letter Kk – writing it the kindergarten way
· Recognizing numbers to 50
· Counting to 75
· Writing numbers to 40

week of 11-23-09

NO SCHOOL – November 25th, 26th and 27th. I am excited to see all students back at school on Monday, November 30th.

THANKSGIVING FEAST: Tuesday, November 24th
· Each child needs to bring in 1 prepared box of stuffing (dressing).
· All stuffing needs to be at school by 8:30. I am in my room at 7:30.
· Please try and keep it as warm as possible
· Any questions please ask me

This week we are studying:
· Thanksgiving
· Review letters: L, O, G, H, T, P, A, N, M, I , S, F
· Counting to 75
· Identifying numbers to 30


I hope my students have a very restful Thanksgiving break with their families.

Thanksgiving feast – Tuesday, November 24th:
· Every child needs to bring in 1 prepared box of stuffing(dressing) Tuesday morning
· PLEASE try to keep it worm.
· It is recommended to bring a disposable container or put name on container to make sure it gets back to you. PLASTIC BAGS WORK GREAT!

SKATE NIGHT – Tuesday, November 17th from 6-8:
· I will be there from 6- 7:30
· Hope to see you all there

week of 11-09-09

There is NO school this Wednesday, November 11th in observance of Veterans Day.

When picking up your child from afterschool or up front, PLEASE have your child wave a quiet bye and leave. It is very disruptive to leave with prolong good byes, high fives, hugs, etc. For health reasons, we try to discourage high fives and hugs.

Thanksgiving fest information: Tuesday, November 24th
· Kindergarten is in charge of providing stuffing for the whole school.
· Tuesday morning, each child needs to bring in one box of stuffing, already prepared (cooked).
· Thanksgiving fest is ONLY for the students
· Any questions, please feel free to come and talk to me

Our class Jack-O-Lantern


The class cleaned out the pumpkin. Also, the students voted on the eyes, nose and mouth.
The class loved the sharp teeth!
