Our field trip to Sabino Canyon was truly AMAZING! The students learned about how the canyon was made, erosion, camouflage, different types of fur and skulls, and different types of scat. Please visit my blog to see pictures. Thank you to the following parents: Jennifer (Lily’s Mom), Gina (Giovanni’s Mom), Scott (Aidan’s Dad), Dustin (Keirstin’s Dad), Carlos (Carolos’ Dad), Natalie (Ryan’s Mom), Molly (Jordan’s Mom), Michelle (Jake’s Mom), Petra (Elizabeth’s Mom), and Jeremy (Chance’s Dad). We could not have done it without your help! Mrs. Stewart came into our classroom on Friday and talked about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. She talked about marching with Dr. King. Mrs. Stewart also talked about a person of good character and treating people the way you would like to be treated. Our next field trip will be on Tuesday, February 19th. We only need 4 parents. Parents will need to drive their own student to and from the field trip. VALENTINES Our class will be exchanging valentines. They have Valentines at the Dollar Tree, Walgreens, Target, Wall-mart, etc. Please have your student write the “To” and “From” on each valentine. This is a great way to encourage your child to write. Please send them in by February 8th. Please send them in the order on the attached class list. Each student needs to give one to everyone in our class. The student’s enjoy giving and receiving valentines. If you have any questions, please ask!  This week we will be learning about: • Letter Ee • Numbers 1-75 • Action words • Weather • Dinosaurs • Sight words: See, said, from, to
