Dear parents,
The first two days of school went well. Please remember to send your child with a water bottle with water in it every day. The students may leave their water bottles at school all week.

Please review our school wide behavior matrix with your child. We will be concentrating on all students knowing the rules and expectations.

Attached is a copy of our class “Yellow Slip.” This is a good way for me to communicate with you about your child if there are any discipline problems. If your child ever receives a Yellow Slip, please go over the information with your child, sign and return it the next school day.

Please make sure your child brings their folder (with Ms. O’Hare on the bottom) every day. This is a very important way to communicate and teach your child responsibility.

Our class will be learning to write in D’nealian. It makes the transition from printing to cursive much easier. Attached is the way your child will write each letter.

Please have your child fill out the all about me info train sheet. Please have your child color and decorate the poster. Please make sure not to color over their writing. The completed sheet is due Friday morning, August 20th.

This week we will be studying:
• Shapes
• Colors
• Writing their name the kindergarten way.
