Last week, the students studied the letter Gg and made Gorgeous, Glittered Geckos. Also, the students enjoyed grapes and graham crackers.
Please remember to take everything out of your child’s folder and go through it. Mrs. Marshall will pick a random day and put stickers or give character tickets to those who have empty folders and are turned in on time. Students will get a reward for having 10 stickers from Mrs. Marshall on their folder. We are trying to teach them responsibility.
Our class is starting to sound out words. Please continue to go over the letters and letter sounds with your student. Our class will be working on sounding out log and hog. The students will eventually memorize them. That is expected. This week we will be working on memorizing color words written in black.

HOMEWORK
Homework goes home Monday and is due Friday. Homework is imperative, and it is an important part of education and responsibility. There will be a reading log attached to their homework. Reading to your child is essential and extremely important. It helps with the development of their language, reading, writing, etc.
Homework is your student’s responsibility. However, you are more than welcome to help your student with their homework. If your student is struggling writing their name, please write their name the kindergarten way with a highlighter and have them trace it.
If your student does not turn in their homework, they will owe me time outside.
