Week 8-13
We have completed out first full week of school. The students are learning the routine and rules of the school and classroom. Please continue to talk to your student about listening the first time and following the rules.
Last week, the students studied shapes, colors, and the letter Ll. The students made lovely, lavender, laced Ll’s that are displayed in the classroom.
Our class has been studying the Olympics. Our class enjoyed graphing the event they like to watch or participate in. Track and field won by 1. We will be having our own Olympics on Thursday. We will also be competing against another kindergarten class.
Please make sure you take everything out of your student’s folder and go over it with your child. Mrs. Marshall and I will be awarding stickers or character tickets randomly if your child turns in their folder on time and if it is empty. Please review the letter Ll, Oo, numbers 1-10, counting to 20, shapes and colors with your child. All students need reinforcement at home.
Birthdays: Please let me know if you will be bringing in birthday treats for your student and the class. I will need to plan accordingly. All birthday treats MUST be store bought. We will be doing birthday celebrations around 1:15.
