The students LOVED the field trip and learned a lot about farming.  The students planted a sunflower seed that will grow to be around 12 feet tall and were able to milk a plastic cow named Gertie.  They found out that worms are the hardest workers on the farm.  The class tried a broccoli flower and carrots (even purple ones).  J  Thank you to the following parents for volunteering their time and helping our class; Cynthia (Alex’s Mom), Kristen (Chance’s Mom), Petra (Elizabeth’s Mom), and Amber (Carson’s Mom).  Please visit my blog to see pictures from our field trip to Village Farms. 

 Thank you to all the Grandparents who came last Wednesday.  We had 25 Grandparents. I hope they all enjoyed themselves in the classroom. 

St. Patrick’s Day Project:  Each student will need an empty shoebox.  If you are able to bring in more than one, that would be great.  Sometimes when you ask stores (Famous Footwear, Payless, etc.) they will give you the empty ones.  Please do NOT bring them in until Tuesday, March 12^th.  I do not have room for 27 shoeboxes. 

REPORT CARD DAY: Friday, March 15^th

·        Please mark your calendars. J

·        ALL students must be picked up by 11:30.

·        I know it is going to be busy, so we will be out front by 11:15.

·        There is NO after school or lunch.

·        Please make sure you let me know when you pick up your child.  It is a safety procedure.
